Amanda Seyfried Is A Real Life Cinderella

It looks like Amanda Seyfried has gone from playing a Mean Girl to the original victim of mean girl-style bullying: Cinderella.

The 24-year-old actress is reportedly slated to play Cinderella in Disney’s live-action adaptation of the classic 1950 animated film based on the world famous fairy tale.

Seyfried is reportedly playing Cinderella, which isn’t that surprising since she pretty much looks exactly like every little girl’s dream of what a real-life Disney princess would look like.

The script is going to be penned by Aline Brosh McKenna, the screenwriter who brought us The Devil Wears Prada and 27 Dresses.

Latest Red Riding Hood casting

More news of Amanda’s upcoming film Red Riding Hood which is filming later on this month in Vancouver.

The upcoming retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, this time called RED RIDING HOOD is attracting a lot of attention because of the creative take on the classic story. That, and it also features Catherine Hardwicke’s follow up to the first TWILIGHT film. I’m sure she’s out to make amends for making the worst of the series of films (so far). But the latest actress to join the film is the underrated Virginia Madsen, who will be playing the mother to the titular character. Amanda Seyfried, Lukas Haas, Gary Oldman, Julie Christie and Shiloh Fernandez have already joined the cast.

Yes, the bad news is that producers have confirmed that Sarah Henrickson will be leaving the nest by the end of the season, but the good news is that Aaron Paul is back as lovahboy Scott to help set up her exit, Tina Majorino returns as ~~Mac~~ Heather for the same reason, and Amanda Seyfried gets some fabulous juicy material to work with on her way out. (Not to mention a very pretty white dress, hint hint.) In the few episodes we have left with Sarah/Amanda, you longtime fans should especially enjoy her scenes with Jeanne Tripplehorn as mom Barb—they both totally kill it.
